meet our chef
Jeffrey Robinson, executive chef at Harbour View House, is passionate about using the finest quality local ingredients and creating dishes of an excellent standard.
A good friend of Ant’s as teammates playing for St Ives Town FC, the idea of the restaurant as it is now at Harbour View House began as a casual conversation over a beer after a match.
Ant was discussing his and Georgia’s plan to open a new restaurant at the hotel and suggested whether Jeff, given his background in restaurants, could offer any assistance with the kitchen design,
Fast forward a few months, and not only had the kitchen been designed but Jeff was on board as Executive Chef, committed to bringing his world-class food to the space on a permanent basis.
Jeff’s food is driven by a passion for circular agriculture and an ethical approach to menu creation - an approach that has gained him a Green Michelin Star as well as multiple rosettes in his career. Many of his awards were achieved when cookery and farming went hand in hand at his own farm, and this connection to the land is something that perfectly aligns with Ant & Georgia’s philosophy for food.
Dining at Harbour View, you can expect the very best produce Cornwall has to offer: organic vegetables and salads from Roseudgeon, foraged foods from around Penwith and the Lizard Peninsula, day-boat fish from our own shores, and pasture-fed meat from Truro, Scorrier, Falmouth, and Tregullas.
Ever-changing menus not only supports local producers but allows for the creation of simple, approachable dishes packed with flavour for you to enjoy here in St Ives in an inclusive and vibrant space overlooking the harbour.
